Train Ride to Eternity

 (Rene Finn)

Verse 1:

I´m sitting in a cabin and looking to the right,

fields and trees are passing the window, outside.

Stations, towns and people appear and fade away,

sometimes I believe I´m the only one who´ll stay.

Verse 2:

Places I have seen yet, people I have met,

their crying, laughing, mourning, I remember in my head.

Lots of talks and feelings that I can still recall

came and went so quickly, but thanks are given to all.

Chorus:

I feel that the world is moving, I know there´s just one chance

to love the one who´s next to me, on the train ride to eternity.

Verse 3:

Still sitting in that cabin, now looking to the left,

some people standing close to me, to others there´s a gap.

Who will leave the cabin or even the train in brief?

And will I be happy or left alone in grief?

Chorus:

I feel that the world is moving, I know there´s just one chance

to love the one who´s next to me, on the train ride to eternity.

Bridge:

Riding night and day through sun and rain and snow,

one day the ride seems to be too fast and one day it´s too slow.

But I can´t stop it, this train of life,

I just can wait and seize the day ´till it arrives…

Chorus:

I feel that the world is moving, I know there´s just one chance

to love the one who´s next to me, on the train ride to eternity.

I feel that the world is moving, I know there´s just one chance

to love the one who´s next to me, on the train ride to eternity.
