Just a dream
(Rene Frank)
Strophe 1 :
Do you see the boy on the street,
his guitar is all what he needs.
He can sit around the whole day
and his great joy is just to play,
while his eyes remain to be closed,
is his music nothing and most.
And it sounds like imploring help,
but the message is lost in yelp.
Itīs just a dream, itīs just a dream.
Strophe 2 :
The guitar goes worse every day,
there are just two strings, he can play.
But it doesnīt mind our boy,
he believes in his only toy.
And it doesnīt mind anyone,
because everthing will be gone.
Yet his dream is to play in bands,
but the future isnīt in his hands.
Itīs just a dream, itīs just a dream.

Strophe 3 :
On a nice and warm summer day,
the boy was abruptly away.
The guitar was found by dustmen
and they threw it in a trashcan.
Cause there were no strings on the bridge,
and the brown, old wood wasnīt rich.
But the street has lost its good sound,
and the young boy was never found.

Itīs just a dream, itīs just a dream.
Itīs just a dream, itīs just a dream.
